Conditions of Registration

Conditions of Registration Jolt Dance

Classes run for 9 weeks per term, 4 terms per year. Move tutor training and community classes run for 9-10 weeks per term, 4 terms per year.

Please aim to arrive no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Regular attendance is essential for the development of the dancers and cohesion of the class. Please let your class tutor know of any planned absences.

Whānau are welcome to attend classes, to watch and support the learning of their dancer. The tutor may however ask whānau to step out of the class if they believe it is in the best interests of the dancer to do so.

Jolt encourages all dancers to participate independently, however some dancers may require one-on-one assistance to fully engage in the class. Where the tutor believes a dancer would benefit from such assistance, we will need you to organise an appropriate support person.

The primary line of communication for whānau is with your tutor, via email or in person before or after class. Rāngai leaders are also able to provide support.

Please let your tutor know if your contact details, or any other information gathered in the registration has changed.

You will be sent an invoice for class fees at the start of each term. Your prompt payment by direct bank transfer would be greatly appreciated.

Health and Safety

Jolt seeks to create an open, safe space for everyone. If incidents of intimidation or bullying arise, we reserve the right to ask the person involved to leave the premises immediately and if deemed necessary, remove them permanently.

It is important that you provide any information that Jolt tutors might need to know about medical conditions (including seizure plans) or behavioral triggers, when registering on-line.

If a dancer requires assistance with toileting, you will need to provide appropriate support.

Please advise your class tutor if you have any special arrangements in place for the collection of dancers. While we are unable to take responsibility for dancers’ arrival and departure from class, we are happy to assist.
