Art has always been a part of my life as far back as I remember drawing dance music design concepts creating filling space with colours sound emotions has always been a focus I move in and out of all the creative spaces capturing the moment when I can or reimagining and recreating it through a Māori lens.

I was inspired by a Jolt performance I had attended, to me the dancer’s choreography was so graceful the dancers were in complete agreement with each other’s movements they reminded me of two fantail birds (Piwaiwaka ) mimicking each other flittering around in the garden swooping diving rising flying in harmony with each other. The design was inspired by this movement -  Manu Kanikani - Whakaari atarau  which means dancing birds shadow theatre
